I am a UX Design Lead with Osmosoft, part of BT, responsible for mobile, web and UX engagements. We are a small, multi-disciplinary team working with BT to transform it into a user centric one - based on design thinking and newer methodologies being adopted externally.
With over 17 years professional experience, rooted in a technical background, I bring a different mind-set to what is considered a creative discipline. Having spent half of my career simplifying enterprise content management solutions I love to make complex systems as simple and enjoyable to use.
I support an ethos of understanding the user’s goals first, combined with an understanding of technological limits and business needs, thus ensuring a usable, cost effective and deployable solution is designed.
I have successfully positioned UX at the centre of the Osmosoft proposition, regularly evangelising our process back into the wider BT organisation. I’ve spoken at business and technical conferences in London and San Francisco about my work in addition to creating and leading on many internal courses.
I was selected as a community TA for the global “Human Computing Interaction” Coursera course and their newer “Interaction Design” specialisation. Closer to home I am one of the organisers for the monthly Dublin UX Meet Up Group.
