Patrick’s mission is to build and mature global design teams, founded on and driven by a design thinking culture. His role is to enable, inspire and encourage curiosity and questioning; which leads to a deeper understanding to solve the right problems.
Background
Patrick is currently Senior Director of User Experience with Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group (a fortune 4 company) where he leads the global design teams within Optum’s Consumer Experience and Digital Product Team.
Dublin UX
Patricks runs Dublin UX, which has been a stable of the Irish UX community since 2015. It has grown to over 4,000 members with over 55 live events since launch. Patrick is the organiser and host of what is Irelands largest design community event.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Patrick is the Chair of the first Pride Employee Resource Group at UHG for Ireland & UK, leading efforts to foster a more inclusive and supportive workplace. He champions diversity, equity, and inclusion by driving initiatives that empower employees to be their authentic selves across the region.
